Description

Detailed early map of Manhattan and the Island of New York, based upon the original survey by William Bridges from 1807.

Bridges survey was one of the most important (and rarest) early surveys of New York City. This later issue, which appeared in Valentine's Manual, reformats the map to show the map in two sections, but is otherwise a relatively faithful facsimile of the original map, including the reference key locating nearly 100 early places within the City and Island.
