Issue #1 of this rare separately published 8-page promotional newspaper, promoting the gold discoveries near Lewiston, Wyoming.

Includes a map of the area, showing the Gold Mining District in the Lewiston area and the Rock Springs, Lewiston and Lander Stage Line in a dark line, with the Rawlins & Lander Stage Line in a thinner black line.

The first issue of this rare newspaper dedicated to the mining activities in the Lewiston District of Fremont County, Wyoming. Various mines and mining companies are described, with prospects for more, and of note is a map in the first page (6 x 6 inches) centered on Lewiston and the gold mining district. 

According to Skinner, this was the only issue of the newspaper published.
