Description
Finely detailed separately published map of the area south of the Po River, between Piacenza and Guastalla, extending south to Terrarosa.
The map provides an exceptional topographical treatment of the region, along with a remarkably detailed key for topographical features.
The map was prepared by the Military Geographical Institute in Milan and revised 20 years later, and just a decade prior to the start of the reunification of Italy, which began in this region.
The map bears the Milan imprint of Ferdinand Artaria Figlio, a family branch of the famous Viennese publishing firm of Artaria & Co.

With original slipcase and pastedown label. Dissected and laid on linen, as issued. Minor toning and soiling.
