Description

Fine example of Georg Freidrich Utz's rare map of Poland, first issued in 1773.

This is the second state of the map, published by Covens, Mortier & Covens Jr. in 1788.

G. F. Utz was a building inspector and architect in Nuremberg and his various works, from drawings to very rare maps. In 1773 he signed as an architect on a rare separately published copper engraved map of Poland, which was re-issued by Covens & Mortier in 1788, with the address of Schneider & Weigel.

Both editions are extremely rare on the market.
