Description
Rare birdseye view of Veracruz, identying 26 points of interest by Francisco Garcia and Lithographed by Castro, from the press of Decaen in Mexico City.
At the top appears the words "Obsequio a los Pres. Subscritores de la Sociedad" (gift the to the Subscribers of the Society).
We are unsure of the specific Socitety referenced, but the image in question is one of the images which appeared in Mexico y sus Alrededores and may have been a gift to the subscribers who supported Castro's production of this important book in 1858.
