Detailed map of the Battlefield around Chattanooga, Tennessee, published by the Secretary of War.

The map is centered on the Tennessee River and gives troop positions, "route of Hooker's command, Nov. 20th," "route of pontoons," "line of retreat of enemy, "vegetation, drainage, roads, railroads, houses, and the names of a few residents.

Below the title is a list of 7 sources for the map, most of which would appear to be manuscript surveys conducted in the field by other officers.

The positions of the Union Army are shown in blue, with the CSA Army positions in red.
