Description

Colorado Possesses The Most Extensive and Varied Natural Resources of Any State In the Union -- Watch Her Grow!

Rare large format map of Colorado, published in Denver by George S. Clason.

The map is noteworthy for the fine detailed treatment of the mining towns in Southwestern and Central Colorado, many of which are no longer on the map.

The map is focused on Colorado's natural resources. The color coding legend identifies different types of lands, including:

  • Irrigated Lands
  • Gold Belt
  • Coal Fields
  • Forest Reserves
  • Indian Reserves
  • Private Land Grant

At the sides, the text describes Colorado's major cities, principal towns and provides an overview of Gold production, agricultural production and other important facts, including a list of all the Railroads and Express companies then in business.

The first edition of this map is very rare. OCLC locates only 2 copies. This is the first example we have ever seen on the market.
