Last year we shipped over 4,500 antique maps to more than 50 countries. Maps are shipped Monday through Friday year-round. If an order is received before 2 PM PST, we will ship the order that day. If an order is received after that time, we will ship the next day. We ship maps either flat in custom packages or in specially ordered thick tubes. Shipping rates are provided as part of the checkout process.

Description

Elegant double hemisphere map of the world, containing may early cartographic myths and errors. No Antarctic is shown. Australia still ahs a curious incomplete coastline. The coastline of New Zealand is similarly inaccurate. The NW Coast of America reflects the recent discoveries of Vancouver and La Perouse, but still predates Lewis & Clark's arrival. The Coastline of Alaska is highly inaccurate and the NW passage is still undiscovered. Hawaii is recently discovered, although only Owhyee I and Atooi are shown. A nice early world map in attractive outline color.
