An exceptional map of South America, originally issued by A.H. Brue and later revised by Charles Picquet, the Geographer to the King of France.

The map provides a remarkable snapshot of South America in the midst of its Century of Revolution.

One of the best large format maps of the continent pubilshed in the middle of the 19th century.

This is apparently the second state of the map, following a first edition of 1840.

Condition Description
