Description
Rare French plan of the City and Citadel of Lille.
The map shows a detailed treatment of the military fortifications of Lille, with a plan of the town and views of the major buildings, churches, squares, etc. The primary gates and bridges are also located.
The map appears to be a proof state, with blank cartouche at the top left and blank space in the lower half of the title cartouche.
The view is apparently very rare. We locate only the copy at the BnF.
