Description

Rare separately issued map of Poland, published by Paolo Petrini of Naples.

Petrini's maps are typically based upon the work of French Royal mapmaker Nicolas Sanson, although the present example gives credit to Nicolas's son, Guillaume Sanson.

The present state seem to be quite rare. We previously offered what appeared to be a proof state of the map, with the present example having a longer and more finished title: /gallery/detail/46149

These two maps were designed by Jan Laskowski and printed in 1979 as part of a work on the Nazi extermination machine produced by PWN Warsaw, a state-owned research-focused publishing house in Poland.
