Fine pictorial map, promoting the routes of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company in the Southwestern United States and Mexico.
A number of the early southern routes in the US are named, including the Sunset Route and the Golden State Route, with the route from Tucson to Mexico City (West Coast Route) highlighted.
Includes striking bird's eye view illustrations at top and bottom of Mazatlan, Sinaloa and of Guaymas, Sonora, each contained within a scroll border and an inset map showing "The Valley of Mexico and Surroundings."
A fine example of this striking promotional image, issued at a time when cross border railroad lines flowed freely between the US and Mexico.
