Rare floral map of the United States, published in Canby, Oregon.
As noted by David Rumsey:
First edition, color pictorial flower map of the United States, backed with linen. Showing the 46 state flowers in full color . . . . When it was printed in 1911, Alaska, Arizona and New Mexico were still territories, and Hawaii wasn't even on the map.
The following notice appeared in the Oregon City Enterprise, on December 1, 1911:
"Our National Bouquet" Floral map of the United States. A beautiful high class colored work of art, with each state flower lithographed on muslin, satin finished, twenty-seven by thirty-seven Inches in size. First edition Just arrived, a souvenir of which can be seen atithe Commercial Club, Oregon City.
