Decorative large format plan of Paris, showing a highly detailed treatment of the City in the middle of the 18th Century.
The map includes a decorative cartouche and is highly embellished and full of detail.
This would appear to be the first state of the map, which includes a large coat of arms sitting atop the dedication cartouche at the lower right corner. The coat of arms was removed the following year, with the addition of the are called "La Garre pour la surete des Batteaux" .
We have previously handled the 1764, 1766 and 1772 editions of the map.
