Decorative and highly detailed plan of Paris, locating streets, monuments, major buildings and a host of other details.

This plan of pre-Haussmann Paris illustrates the city's layout by arrondissement. In 1860, Haussmann proposed the annexation of a number of Paris communes, increasing the number of arrondissements from 12 to 20.

Above the map it says "The circumference of Paris is 23.753 meters 56 centimeters or 6 miles tenth, 2000 yards. Its diameter is about two leagues." With alphabetical index of streets, list of 11 main post offices in the city and table showing the various town halls and public buildings in the city.
