Description
Scarce map of America absed upon Oretlius' map of 1570 from the 1605 Venice edition of La Relationi Universali. The map is rich with 16th Century nomenclature, including Anian, Quivira, Tuchara, the Sierra Nevada, Cibola, Totonteac, Mare Vermeio etc. Very interesting representation of the unknown southern continent, Fretum Magellanicum and massive Noval Guinea. One of the great maps of the unknown southern continent. Burden 149. A bit dark, but overall a good example.
