Rare large double hemisphere map of the World, published in London by John Harrison and engraved by Neele.

The map tracks the routes of Captain James Cook through his 3 Voyages to the Pacific Ocean. The earliest depictions of Hawaii and the significantly revised coastlines of New Zealand and Australia are shown.

Some of Cook's observations in the Antarctic regions are shown, including his spotting "fields of ice."

Includes a fine depiction of the Northwest Coast of America.
