Description

A scarce map of Mexico, in the early years of the Mexican Revolution (with a provocative title!).

The map is focused on the American Military and Naval positions, along with the areas controlled by the Federal Mexican Troops and "the chief centers of rebellion and names of leaders."

The primary Mexican Rebels located on the map are:

  • Venustiano Carranza
  • Jose "Pancho" Villa
  • Tomas Urbina
  • Emiliano Zapata
  • Pascual Orozco

The map also includes tables showing the strength of the American and Mexican Armies and Navies, along with a Pronouncing Vocabulary of Spanish words.

An interesting map, produced to inform the American public regarding the Mexican Revolution (and apparently assure Americans that the conflict would not cross north into the US.

The title of the map clearly had a vastly different implication in 1913!
