Detailed map of Texas, prepared by the General Land Office and periodically updated and revised.

This was the largest of the Texas maps made by Pressler & Langermann in 1879. The map record areas of public land still available, it also shows all the existing counties, the railroad lines and roads.

1 inch to 16 miles. Drawn in 4 sections, each 25½ x 26½. Counties, towns, roads, railroads, railroad land grants, military posts, post offices, and physical features. Blank table was intended to list counties, county seats, areas of counties, date county was created, and land district to which county belongs.
