Last year we shipped over 4,500 antique maps to more than 50 countries. Maps are shipped Monday through Friday year-round. If an order is received before 2 PM PST, we will ship the order that day. If an order is received after that time, we will ship the next day. We ship maps either flat in custom packages or in specially ordered thick tubes. Shipping rates are provided as part of the checkout process.

Description

Rare double hemisphere map of the World, including an early appearance of Hawaii (O-Why-hee) on a printed map of the World.

The map includes a fine illustration the tracks of Captain Cook on each of his three voyages, as well as excellent depictions of Australia, New Zealand and a very up to date treatment of the NW Coast of America, noting the Spanish, Russian and mythical Chinese (Fou-Sang) discoveries along the Northwest Coast of America.

A number of other routes of discoverers are shown, including Bouganville, Furneaux, and the routes of the Spanish Galleons.

This is the first time we have ever seen this map for sale.
