Description
An extremely scarce edition of Cloppenberg's map of the Carolinas and parts of Virginia and Georgia, issued by Van Waesberg in 1673. The primary changes are the lack of an engraved depiction of the sea. This late edition is very scarce. The map extends from St. Augustine in the South to just north of Chesepioock Sinus in the North and to the Alleghany Mountains in the West, naming a number of early towns, bays etc. A highly collectable early map of the Southeast.
