Rare reduced version of Edmund Halley's map of the world showing magnetic compass variations, based upon a larger map by Halley, also engraved by John Harris.

In the bottom left, there is a promotional note for the larger map, then being sold by Mount & Page. Includes inset maps of the Polar Regions and a fine detailed look at the coastal regions of the world, including a highly distorted Australia and incomplete coastline of New Zealand.
