Description
First edition of this highly detailed map of Los Angeles Harbor, published by the Harbor Department in 1919 and periodically revised thereafter.
The map includes a detailed plans for the Wilmington District, Long Beach and San Pedro District, along with excellent details for Terminal Island and the various Channels and Shipping Basins.
There are a number of proposed uses that appear on this edition of the map that do not appear on later editions, such as the US Submarine base at the bottom of the map, which disappears in later editions. A number of uses and tenants shown on this plan are removed and revised in later plans. Here is the 1925 plan /gallery/detail/38649
