A highly decorative and rare town view of the city of Cracow in Poland. The view includes inhabitants in the foreground, with the city beyond the Vistula River.

Pierre Aveline (born in Paris, c.1656 - 23 May 1722), worked as an engraver, publisher and print seller. He specialized in topographical views and plans and other geographical representations. He engraved and published various views of Paris and a series of European and foreign capitals and cities.
