Rare broadside view of the Siege of Gibraltar, dedication to Prince Beda Abbot in St. Gallen, Switzerland. "Ordine Supremo della Santissima Annunziata" in French and in German. Dedicated by Baron Thurn and his Regiment-Lieutennant Karl Kache
Splendid bird's eye view of the Siege of Gibraltar, colored in the period. Legend on left in French. Legend on right in German
The Siege was undertaken by the Spanish and French between 1779 and 1783, but was successfully defended by the Britiish.
Condition Description
Old color, with manuscript additions. There is a hole where one of the ships was located, which has been filled with a rowboat with 7 or 8 passengers.
