Description
Simple double hemisphere map of the World, showing the "New Discoveries" along the Northwest Coast of America, pubished in France shortly before the third Voyage of Captain James Cook.
The map reflects the discoveries of Cook's first two voyages, including in New Zealand, Australia and the Northwest Coast of America, but does not yet show Hawaii.
Bits of the discoveries made in the Southern Hemisphere, prior to the discovery of the Antarctic Ocean are shown, including "Terre de Drack" (Drake's Land), Cap de la Criconcision and other unnamed islands.
