Description

Fascinating coast to coast map of the United States, including interesting details in the Trans-Mississippi West.

The map is identifies a number of Indian Tribes, along with the mythical Lake Timpanagos and a curiously placed L. Salado (Salt Lake) to the south. San Francisco is Bay of Sir Francis Drake. The Northwest shows the discoveries of Lewis & Clark,, including a detailed, if somewhat mislocated Yellowstone River.

Astoria is the only settlement shown on the West Coast.
