Description

Highly important large format map of Nevada identified by Wheat as "the first to show Nevada with the boundaries it acquired in May 1866."

Wheat goes on to note that "the more immediately striking feature of this map is that clutches of symbols, like dinosaur eggs laid all over the State, show silver, gold and copper deposits. Most of Southeasten Nevada is blac, nort of the 'Wagon Road from Los Angeles to the Great Salt Lake.'"
