Fine promotional brochure for farm land in south of Snohomish in a subdivision known as Elwood's Addition and Elwood's Second Addition, between Granite Falls and Arlington, Washington.

The promoter of the subdivision was the Elwood Lumber & Timber Company of Seattle Washington.

The map provides a fascinating and photograph like presentation of the area, highlighting the roads, railroads and topographical features of the the Elwood Subdivisions.

The promotional material on the verso gives a detailed testimonial and overview of the economic and agricultural status of region, the Dairy industry in Snohomish County, and updated information regarding the status of the development, which apparently first began in 1909.

The updated informatioon focuses on the progress of the railroad lines, schools, sales and price increases. A mention of the opening of the Panama canal as spurring new emigrants is included.
