Interesting Pocket Map of South Africa, prepared as promotional item for the B.F. Brown & Co. Shoe Company.
The map provides a detailed treatment of the various political subdivisions of Southern Africa.
South Africa was an area of great interest to Americans at the beginning of the 20th Century, as a result of the ongoing Boer Wars.
B.F. Brown & Co. would shortly after this map was printed begin its advertising affiliation with the comic strip "Buster Brown."
