Description

Birdseye view of Los Feliz Square, a tract map of the area immediately to the south of the view, printed price list and other promotional material for the Janss Investment Company and a letter from Harold Janss to Harry B. Goodman, encouraging Goodman to participate.

Goodman was an Los Angeles area real estate broker, so apparently the purpose of the letter was to encourage Goodman to buy or bring buyers to the developement.

Los Feliz is located just below the Griffith Park Observatory. The tract map shows a neighborhood just south of Los Feliz Blvd. The view shows the area just to the north.

The Janss Investment Company is perhaps best known for having donated the land in Westwood which would become the campus of the University of California's southern branch (UCLA).

The size given is for the largest item only. The view sheet is approximately 16 x 11 inches and the letter is 8.5 x 11 inches.
