Fine separately issued map of Southern California and Clark County, Nevada, published by Jack Renie.
Jack Renie was perhaps the most active publisher of separate maps and atlases of Los Angeles in the 1940s and referred to himself as "Jack J. Renie, Cartographer."
The present maps shows major highways, secondary highways, ordinary roads, unimproved roads, railroasd, canals and dry lakes, water wells, springs, oil fields and airports. The map's coverage of Clark County is quite interesting, making this one of the earlier maps to offer details around the Las Vegas.
The map also provides an early look at the transportation system around Southern California, as it was transitioning away from trains and towards automobiles.
