Description

Detailed separately issued map of Puget Sound, from Vancouver and the Fraser River in the North to Olympia and Tacoma in the South, centered on Victoria, Port Townsend and the San Juan Islands. Mount Baker is shown in the east.

The map is extrmely detailed, identifying railroads, islands, towns, township survey lines, mining regions, and a host of other details.

The map is apparently quite rare, with OCLC listing only the example at the Bancroft Library (UC Berkeley). We have dated the map based upon the Bancroft listing, which indicates the map was "published in the 1880s."

Condition Description
Laid on linen. Paper and linen have thinned in the margins, with a bit of loss at the neat line, but the map image is almost completely unaffected.
