Interesting manuscript map, showing the mining claims of the May Flower Company in Placer County, California.

The map is divided by Sections and extends from Black Hawk Canyon and Old Union Ditch in the north to Brushy Canyon and Volcano Canyon in the south, centered on May Flower Ravine, Stevens Canyon and the Coates Placer Mine. The map locates the company house, sleeping houses, barns, sheds, a school house, bunk houses, and company store, along with the Hydraulic Pit and tunnels.

The map lists approximately 20 Patents (including multiple patents owned by the California Pacific Railroad) and 29 numbered Deeds granted to the May Flower Company.
