Description
Interesting early copy of Cadwallader Colden's map of the Great Lakes region, prepared in conjunction with the opening of the Erie Canal.
The map is one of several facsimiles which appeared in Memoir, Prepared at the Request of a Committee of the Common Council of the City of New York, and Presented to the Mayor of the City, at the Celebration of the Completion of the New York Canals, published in 1825 to commenorate the opening of the Erie Canal.
