Decorative double hemisphere map of the World, based upon the first edition of JB Homann's larger scale map.

California is shown as an island. Two smaller polar hemispheres are shown, showing the extent of knowledge (and fictional details) of the two poles. Surrounding the hemispheres are windheads, cherubs and other decorative embellishments.

A striking map, which is much scarcer than the larger Homann map.
