If an order is received after that time, we will ship the next day. We ship maps either flat in custom packages or in specially ordered thick tubes. Description

Rare map of Bohemia by Johannes A. Montecalerio, published in Chorographica Descriptio Provinciaru & Conventum… in Milan.

The map is centerd on Praga (Prague) and extends from Breslaw and Rumberg in the north to the Danube, Budweis and Nicolsbar in the south.

The engraving style is bold and unique, not at all similar to contemporary cartographers. There were two editions of Montecalerio's work, the second published in Turin in 1712.

Fine example of Seutter's decorative and highly detailed plan of Prague, with a striking view of the city below. The map shows the city divided into three neighborhoods, the "small," "old," and "new" cities. Fields and Vysehard Cemetery surround the city. The Vltava is denoted by its German name of Moldau. Many other features are drawn and noted, including the Charles Bridge.
