Last year we shipped over 4,500 antique maps to more than 50 countries. Maps are shipped Monday through Friday year-round. If an order is received before 2 PM PST, we will ship the order that day. If an order is received after that time, we will ship the next day. We ship maps either flat in custom packages or in specially ordered thick tubes. Shipping rates are provided as part of the checkout process.

Description

Rare early map of the the British, French & Spanish Possessions in North America, issued 25 years after the United States obtained its indepdendence from England.

The map still shows the colonial divisions within North America, most notably the massive Louisiana Territory. The map is seemingly based loosely upon John Mitchell's seminal map of North America, although the boundary between Louisiana and British America (Canada) is pushed far south of its appropriate location for the Mitchell.

The map is very rare, this being the first time we have seen the map offered for sale.
