Description
Bob Plunkett was an artist and photographer, working in Los Angeles from the 1940s onward. Among his most famous work are a number of original illustrations done for Walt Disney. Plunkett also worked extensively in the postcard world.
We offer here an original piece of Plunkett's artwork, consisting of a hand drawn whimsical illustration of Catalina island, overlaid with a number of photographs of points of interest on Catalina, most of which are apparently Plunkett originals. The collage of original artwork and photographs was apparently the original artwork for a postcard or similar piece, which never made it into print.
