Description
Rare map of Mexico, Texas, New Mexico and the Gulf Coast Region, on an unusual Northeast at the top projection, from Cowley's New and Easy Introduction to the Study of Geography. Extends from Baja California to the mouth of the Mississippi River, and centered on Texas. Great Teguaio is named, as is Florida. The Red River and Rio Grande River are shown, the later exending to Taos. Corpus Christi is named, as is El Paso and the La Salle's (French) Fort. Nice detail overall. A scarce map, which rarely appears on the market.
