Last year we shipped over 4,500 antique maps to more than 50 countries. Maps are shipped Monday through Friday year-round. If an order is received before 2 PM PST, we will ship the order that day. If an order is received after that time, we will ship the next day. We ship maps either flat in custom packages or in specially ordered thick tubes. Description

Spectacular chart tracking the 12 monthly phases of the earth's orbit around the sun and showing the relative projections of sunlight, with two smaller diagrams. A wonderful decorative large celestial diagram, unique to this atlas. Only Andriveau-Goujon among his contemporaries included such a fine group of Celestial maps in his general atlas.

Decorative engraved celestial map by Doppelmayr showing the motion of the planets Mercury and Venus during the year 1710. A detailed illustration on the chart shows a league of horses pulling a chariot whose wheels are rotating the earth. This rotates around a central sun figure, alongside the representations of Mercury and Venus as their respective Roman gods.

This copperplate engraved distance table, created by the German cartographer Matthäus Seutter in about1730, is titled Poliometria Germaniae Ac Finitimorum Quorundam Locorum Europa (Measurements of Germany and Certain Neighboring Places in Europe). The table is both a cartographic tool and a work of artistic design, combining mathematical precision with elaborate baroque decoration to serve practical, educational, and aesthetic purposes. It provides distances between major cities in Germany and other significant European locations.
