Description

Rare 1901 promotional map and calendar for the Oregon Railroad and Navigation Company.

The Oregon Railroad and Navigation Company was organized in 1896 and operated a network of over 1100 miles of track extending eastward from Portland to various parts of Idaho, Washington and Oregon. The company was part of a merger that created the Oregon-Washington Railroad and Navigation Company in 1910. Later, it became the Union Pacific in 1936.

The present curious promotional item includes a view of an Inn at Mount Hood, Oregon and a calendar for 1901, along with a marvelous promotional map, showing area serviced by the railroad.

We have not located another example of this apparently very rare promotional item.
