First edition of Rocque's rare Plan of Paris, prepared on the same scale as Rocque's map of London, in order to offer a physical comparison of the relative sizes of the two cities.

The two plans were advertised in Rocque's 1751 Catalogue and again in his Catalogue of 1761-62. While we have located maps with similar titles (apparently there was a later editions and a map of a similar title done in 1749), this 1754 map is apparently rare. We located only 1 example on OCLC (Ryhiner Collection, Stadt- und Universitatsbiblithethek) and one example offered in November 1 by Jonathan Potter.
