Massive Indiana Territory pre-dates the creation of Michigan Territory. West of the Mississippi, the old Spanish territories of Orleans, Mississippi and Louisiana are shown. Incredible detail along the NW Coast of America. Single cordillera, pre-dating the georgaphical improvements brought by Humboldt's map. Excellent detail in the Southwestern US. South America is shown on the eve of its progressive independence from Spain and Portugal. Very rare. The first example of this map we have ever seen.
