Very scarce map of the Middle Atlantic and Eastern Colonies, extending to Lake Michigan, from a rare atlas by J.B. Nolin. Very curious boundaries for Virginia, Maryland and Pennyslvania. The map clearly delimits the British Colonies to the regions East of the Alleghany Mountains, based upon the French claims pre-dating the French & Indian War. A number of early forts are mentioned and there is an extensive treatment of the River systems in Michigan and the Ohio River Valley. Very scarce. This is the first time we have offered the map in the past 15 years.
