Scarce Frenc map of Nevada, published in a French travel book in 1874, based upon a US War Department (likely GLO) map. The map exhibits marvelous detail, predating Lake Tahoe. Shows towns, rivers, lakes, roads, railroads, forts, mountains, elevations, peaks, valleys, springs, lagoons, flats, ravines, and many other details. A marvelous and scarce map, the first example we have ever seen.
