Description

Revised edition of Seller & Page's rare map of the Atlantic Coast of North America, the Caribbean, Europe and North Africa, originally engraved by Herman Moll. The map provides excellent detail along the Coastline of North America, the Gulf Coast and within the Caribbean, including dozens of place names. The present example appeared in a late edition of the English Pilot, Fourth Book, and includes the revised cartouche and updated title. Excellent detail throughout. Tear on left side extends to Bay del Spiritu Sancto. Minor nicks at the top and two minor wormholes off the Coast of Guiana. Backed with linen. In all, a good example, at about 1/2 the normal price for the map.
