Rare Schonberg map of the State of Michigan, hand colored by counties. Shonberg's Standard Atlas of The World was a brief late Civil War production. While there were agents in Boston & Chicago, the atlas apparently was not a commercial success, and very few examples survive. Wisconsin and the rest of the Upper Peninsula are on the verso. Tiny nice to the decorative border, else a nice example. The first time we have ever had a single Schonberg map to offer of any region (we have handled the complete atlas on one occaision).
