Description
This political map of the Arab world, titled الوطن العربي (The Arab Homeland), was included in the 10th anniversary issue of Al-‘Arabi magazine in 1968.
The map presents the Arab countries in vibrant colors, delineating national borders and major cities in Arabic script. It spans from the Atlantic coast of North Africa to the Arabian Gulf and from the Mediterranean down into the Horn of Africa, covering all member states of the Arab League at the time.
Al-Arabi, which is still in publication, was established by the Government of Kuwait in 1958 as part of a cultural initiative to promote Pan-Arabism and foster a shared Arab identity.
