Description

This vibrant advertising poster, produced for Continental Airlines around 1968, promotes winter travel to Colorado's ski resorts with a bold visual pairing of alpine leisure and traditional European design.  

At the center of the composition are two German-style beer steins rendered in color photographic realism. Each stein is adorned with a painted winter motif—one shows a stylized figure in mid-ski, dressed in colorful retro ski gear, while the other depicts a picturesque mountain village nestled under a bright alpine sun. Set against a stark white background, the imagery emphasizes both the festive and picturesque qualities of ski culture, evoking gemütlichkeit and après-ski charm.
